Hi Frank, The only Flybe that I have is the Part B4 - Operations Manual - Volume 1. I have something from MALEV but it is not as ellaborate as Flybe and I believe you have that Flybe Manual ; if not I'll send you a link to download. I am the same, I was flying the Flybe, Autrian and Air Baltic routes and, unfortunately eitheir the Airlines or the Q400 disappeared. There is still LOT which has some interesting routes as the Polish airports have been well designed in P3D so I carry on flying the old routes. Have a nice day, JP

  • Hi, It happens to me as well sometimes to be on VNAV and suddenly it goes PITCH HOLD without any obvious reason. May be it is due to some AIRAC problems. I do not know. LNAV/VNAV do not behave always as expected as I mentioned in another post tod…
  • We discussed it before: 2- Yes, there is something wrong with the AFT PAX and SERVICE. However FWD PAX and AFT BAG are OK. What I do is to open the FWD PAX first and then the AFT BAG and to close I start with the AFT BAG and it is OK all the time. …
  • Hi, As in real life, it is sometimes very ennoying to read the instruments due to the low sun on the horizon. If you have curtains it helps, not on every aircraft. Majestic reproduced it very well and I found a very simple way to get rid of the ref…
  • Hi Tomaz, 1- Did you check that you have hydr press after starting engines when you have this issue? 2- Yes, there is something wrong with the AFT PAX and SERVICE. However FWD PAX and AFT BAG are OK. What I do is to open the FWD PAX first and …
  • Hi, clausenc Yes, it does exist on the AIRAC ending 20-MAY-20 and on the latest Jeppesen charts. It can be entered in the FMS and it gives: YAYOI 022° / 9.1 Nm HONJO 029° / 11.5 Nm RJSK Was it typed properly? Regards, JP
  • Hi Ben, You said: " If the chart says an area of pavement isn't usable, it isn't usable". The chart says: "NOT USABLE FOR PERFORMANCE CALCULATIONS. It is not exactly the same. You should only take the 6300 Ft for the calculations and ignore the 9…
  • I found that as well: PAVED 950X200 FEET SAFETY AREA AT THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 19. NOT USABLE FOR PERFORMANCE CALCULATIONS. ASPHALT POROUS FRICTION COURSE, PLOWED AND BROOMED DURING WINTER However, looking at the aerial photograph, it loo…
  • If I am not mistaken, there are not much differences if we consider the field lenght, the acc/stop and the TOFF Dist: Unfortunately I cannot enclose the TOFF Distance graph due to the size but it shows 58 800 Lbs. JP
  • Hi Ben, I am not sure that the safety area should be taken into account in case of aborting take-off and, as stated on Jeppesen charts, is for "overrun incidents" and in case of too long landings it says: "... sometimes fail to stop on the runway…
  • Hi Ben, I have the Q400 tables and at first sight I think you are too heavy for the Rwy lenght available. I'll post the results of my findings later on as I have a bit of work to do right now. Regards, JP
  • Hi Jan, I had a much closer look at LOWS and as far as I understand we would not be able to execute the RNP Y or Z Rwy 33. Only RNP Visual V Rwy 33 would be allowed if we do not have the special qualification and equipment. Same at LXGB: SRA …
  • Hi Jan, You are absolutely correct but, as Kroswynd explained, the problem is coming from the sim itself (FSX / P3D) and there is not much to do for Majectic to correct that. The only way, so far, is to follow these LNAVs with HDG select or ha…
  • Hi Simeon, Thank you so much for your answer. I noticed this behaviour a long time ago but did not know where the origin was. Now it's OK, perfectly understood and there is no need for the Boss to have a look as there are more urgent things to lo…
  • Hello Günther, I would prefer b) for a simple reason if you use a) and for a reason or another you won't push the PL immediately you are not going to get what you are looking for and that could lead to some problem. When you have the PL max forwa…
  • Hello, Even that I did not like the idea of being at 10 000 Ft over CFS I tried the same procedure than FraPre and Reinhard, the YCFS RNAV-Z Rwy 21, IAF CFSND. I am with the PRO Q400 P3Dv4.5 latest patch and AIRAC up to date. No weather. It…
  • Hi, To Rainer: I am from the old school, true as I started to fly in the sixties but I had only a CPL with IFR and did not hold an ATPL ; so mostly flew as co-pilot. I am not expert on FMS. I try to learn a bit the new technics but I still rely m…
  • Hello Christian, Yes you could use the pilot and copilot 2D but I had problems to do that and I did not like it too much as you could not see outside the way that I like it so my pilot and copilot panels are virtual panels and only my overhead, f…
  • Hello Christian, Nothing fancy in my little setup. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fu6i8edm1o8kb7k/DSC_1143 b.JPG?dl=0 Since the time I took this picture, the central screen is not virtual cockpit anymore but 2D and I prefer it that way. On the centr…
  • Thank you to both of you. Thank you FraPre for the info regarding the Q400. I have heard that today the de-icing is done with different fluids. In the ancien times when I was flying there was only one fluid which was a mixture of glycol and water…
  • OK Thanks. I am not really surprised as I believe that the de-icing is done internally in the aircraft profile. So if we want to have it realistic we use the de-icing through the FMS and we play the de-icing scenario through GSX to have it visually.…
  • Yes but my question is relating to GSX and if we de-ice through GSX does it give the same result on the engine intakes knowing that with GSX we can de-ice only at the gate/parking before starting the engines?
  • Hello AviaJeff, If you need some explanations in French, as I am franco-Irish may be I could help but you have to contact me privately as this forum is only in English. One thing to keep in mind is that all the aeronautical professional course…
  • Krosswynd said: "Performing engine deicing procedures before leaving the gate is the required thing to do" Hi, I know that through the FMS we could initiate the deicing procedure but if we use only GSX deicing does it gives the same result …
  • Bonsoir AviaJeff, You have all the systems of the Q400 in .pdf here: http://www.smartcockpit.com/plane/BOMBARDIER/DASH-8-400.html Regarding the MJC Q400 there are not really many bugs. I fly this plane since she has been released with FSX a…
  • Hello Xiropillo, I think you did a right move as you got it with a rebate. I am sure you are going to enjoy flying her. If sometimes you find the letters too small or blurry especially when taking off or landing you can do it that way which …
  • Hello Simeon, I believe you mean the "2D" panel as I use it all the time for the overhead and I have this little bug as well. On the FWD and AFT (2D) panels as well I have sometimes flickering squares. I change computer and still the same happ…
  • Hello Xiropillo, I Have no financial involvement with MJC who make the Q400, I am just a simple customer. I got the Pilot for FSX in 2013, the Pro in 2015 and the 64 bits for P3D in 2018. I do not fly (virtually) any other commercial plane an…
  • It happens again with the gear pins removed, so altogether it happens to me twice in all my flights in about three or four years which would be about 2 to 3000 hours of flight. Interesting exercice especially if you cannot land at your departure air…
