@JFScott said: Scott here from Just Flight. Just to update you all. We've yet to receive the files and details for the RAINING Edition for Prepar3D v4.5. I have emailed Oleksiy and as yet have had no reply. Jordan who usually deals with…
-
So as Justflight customers we’re not going to get the discounts because they haven’t uploaded it? That is an outrage.
-
Thanks JP, I actually never thought of that. I don’t suppose the Majestic chaps would consider correcting this logic in the FMS as it is technically incorrect?
-
I see, thanks Kroswynd. At least I tried
-
Brill thanks lgl. is this how you use RTOP in the sim?
-
Using the DTO function is not the same as clearing the NO LINK, but anyway. Glad you've worked it out.
-
You've just quoted a passage from the Majestic manual that is exactly what I said - I didn't mention NO LINKS in the STAR, I said that the NO LINK ahead of the IF, and any associated with the FMS approach, should be left, and the Universal manual sa…
-
JP: pleasure - glad it was of some use. I’m pretty sure I showed the VNAV descent in another video on my channel when I did a flight from Birmingham to Jersey. JvanE: If that works for you, great - I only mention it because the Universal FMS man…
-
By the sound of it, from your other post, you’re possibly not getting LNAV APPR because you’re editing the flightplan by removing the NO LINK or routing direct from the end of the STAR to the IAF - if so, I said in the video that doing this will res…
-
Yes - I’m pretty sure that LNAV APPR will appear once you route direct to the IF or intercept the final approach track after arming the approach in the FMS. You are to arm the approach in the FMS only once you’re cleared to intercept the final appro…

Well spotted! Maybe a change for the training version.
-
Chaps this is a video I’ve done on my channel - I hope it’s of some use:
-
Fantastic, excellent work. I’m glad you’re doing more white liveries - G-ECOB seems suddenly to have disappeared from the fleet in real life for some reason!
-
OK chaps, so trims set in P3D, and autopilot set in mjc84.ini. I’ll give it a go.
-
Jax - thanks very much for that, that's not unclear - most helpful. However, the reason I really did this was to avoid trim conflicts that cause the aircraft to pitch down/up violently after autopilot disconnect. The autopilot disconnect button wor…
-
Make sure if your brakes are controlled in FSX/P3D that you invert them, otherwise the brakes will be applied when your feet are off the pedals.
-
That would be excellent, Jax; I can't find any other conflict with an elevator trim assignment but at the moment, that trim just isn't moving. The key assignment is working in the mjc84.ini page, but the trim isn't actually moving. Weird.
-
Actually, sorry, I seem to have worked out the button assignment now and the A/P disconnect is working. Only problem I have now is that the trim switches, which I've also assigned in the mjc84.ini, are making the cricket bleeps and the elevator trim…
-
That video specifically says it's too complicated to explain. If I disable the Majestic joystick interface and just use FSX controls, will this get rid of the conflict?
-
Sorry Jax but can you be even more specific; it's not working at the moment and the manual is incredibly unclear. How do I know which number represents the stick I want to assign the A/P disconnect command to?
-
Yes, but you are flying an RNAV approach or an RNAV overlay approach there, not an ILS. To fly a bona fide ILS approach you need to be using the raw data from the ILS in GS and LOC mode.
-
To capture the ILS you need the ILS tuned in the ARCDU, preferrably on both NAV boxes and your HSI - both sides preferrably - in nav/cyan (rather than FMS/magenta), and press the APPR button on the FGCP.
-
Extraordinary, that. Thanks folks I will assign the autopilot disconnect in the .ini file instead of through P3D. Can anyone either guide me as to how to do that or guide me to a resource that’ll tell me? Never really touched the .ini file before. …
-
I’m disconnecting via a button on my joystick linked to the autopilot disconnect command in P3D. I will investigate the double axes and report back.
-
I think you've got it Craig, except for arming APR on the FGCP (or whatever it's called in the Q400 - I forget) - I don't see what purpose that would serve, as LNAV APR will appear if you've armed the approach in the FMS. Apart from that, I think yo…
-
Craig, just as an update, the UNIVERSAL FMS manual states that no segment of the approach generated by the FMS can be edited, or the FMS-based approach can no longer be flown as an FMS appraoch. It says also that you may have duplicate points, in wh…
-
Craig you're absolutely right - when you put your own fixes into the routing, the Majestic Q400 just won't do it. I have no idea why and whether that's realistic or a bug within the sim. Technically, if you're doing it with a VOR approach, that's a…

Cheesy I've been desperately scouring the internet for this repaint because I've seen the pictures of it and am keen to get my hands on it, but have only just realised that these pics are from a few days ago and you haven't released it yet! What a f…
-
Actually Craig I'm just about to record a video for my channel on this very subject. Basically, you must first of all check the ANP in the NAV page of the FMS, and keep an eye on it throughout the descent and approach where possible to make sure it …

I see, thanks kroswynd. In that case, I think I’ll just stay away from EGLC. It’s a great sim nonetheless.
