@mbnicholson, There is no need for you to re-purchase the Q400, your existing copy will work. There may be an updated version of the Pro which you can get from your vendor, or possibly from the Majestic forums "User Area" (link showing in the fo…

The Q400 installer automatically creates the FSX folder. During the install process, you have to manually select the P3Dv6 folder to prevent the FSX folder being created. This has been an issue with the Q400 installer for a few years now. Glad you h…

It's a bit convoluted, to say the least. I do not know if a copied section from my Fsuipc ini file would work with your setup. In Fsuipc, under the "Buttons & Switches" tab, check the boxes for "profile specific" and "Select for FS control" P…

A while back another user mentioned a similar issue when assigning elevator trim via the joystick connector. This is the response from Kroswynd. "This issue unfortunately can not be rectified due to the fact that it is controlled both by the pilo…

No, the .jcc files stay in the jconf folder and are read by the Q400 from there. You should have a .jcc file for each of your controllers that you have configured. You will have one for your yoke, one for your rudder pedals, and possibly one or two …

That's an easy fix to setup the yoke axis'. The one thing that caught me out was the fact that there are two options for each flight axis. (which are used in a dual control cockpit setup) Most people only have one yoke or set of rudder pedals so we …

Using Fsuipc offsets you are able to assign and adjust the speed of the trim to match your controller very precisely. (i.e. elevator trim on a force feedback yoke) This feature alone makes the cost of FSUIPC worth it. The real question is; How long…

@CMBAviator, If you are using the training edition of the dash8, you will not need the "viaIntercity 125hz config tool". The Q400 Training edition comes with its own config tool (mjc8q400/jconf/jconf.exe) included in the install folder of the Q400.…

I have re-flown a flight from CYEG to CYYC and noticed the same behavior between MIDVI and ERDAL. On my first flight, mentioned earlier, I didn't notice the change in the way the Q400 was flying the arc, most likely because of an ACA 789 landing on …

OK. I flew that approach this morning from CYEG, and the Q400 followed the turn perfectly. One thing I noticed, the SELEV transition as a restriction "at 8000 and below 210 kts". With you taking off from Calgary and being vectored to SELEV may not m…

Hi chacebaylee4, Could you post the route you were flying for both Edmonton and Calgary. I will give them a try and see if I get a similar result. Cheers, Jax.

I can confirm Emile's comment, just downloaded and installed the 1.025a patch, and it is working fine in my sim. (P3Dv4.x, MJCQ400 Training v1.025a) Cheers, Jax

If there is no one at Avsim available, or willing to paint it, you could try asking KiwiFlightSim.com. They are payware, and they do take requests. Since the JAZZ livery looks fairly straight forward it may not take too long to do. I have one of the…

I had to do a complete reinstall of the Q400 v1.025 and the original 1.025a patch. My attempts to only reinstall the original patch (aka doing a roll-back) resulted in the installer saying the Q400 1.025 is not installed. You could try Reinhard's su…

It was originally released for P3Dv4 and P3Dv5, so it should still work for P3Dv4.

Thanks Reinhard, I tried your process, but got the same results, so wound up doing a reinstall back to the original v1.025a. (The mjc84.dll from May9, 2023.) The newer (May 15) fix always results in a CTD. I don't mind sticking with this version, …

I'm in a different boat with the new patch. I started with a clean install of v1.025, and then the 1.025a patch. Starting P3D goes fine, I select the Q400, and that's when the sim crashes to desktop 30 secs later. I haven't actually made it in to th…

Your problem may have multiple causes. #1. improper calibration, #2. dirty potentiometers in your controller, or #3 all of the above. You can start by lowering the value of the left power lever to see if it moves the levers closer together. Recali…

I tested Timmins (CYTS) and found the same issue of the FMS freezing. FS Commander shows an error in the navdata for the PETSU, and GUBUP transitions for the ILS 03. Choosing the BONAG, or YTS transition will work just fine. Choosing the ILS03 witho…

Have you tried running the installer again? Majestic may have reset your installs without giving any confirmation. Jax

Hi airwolf66, I have done a bit of testing on my sim, and am having the same issue as you. Yoke and rudder pedals work fine, but the toe brakes do not work. I have the Training edition of the Q400 and have tested using the ini file for 125hz,…

Hello airwolf66, You are using the wrong variable for the right brake pedal. Try: FlightControls_->sensors.BrakeR0_ADC Yes, the brakes can be assigned through FSUIPC. Just make sure you do NOT use both the INI file, AND FSUIPC. Duplicat…

I am seeing a similar issue in my sim, regarding the FMS and HGS control panel, but only during dusk/evening flights. edit; The effect is more pronounced at dusk/evening flights. During the daytime the FMS, in my sim, is slightly blurred but stil…

The only suggestion I could give at the moment is to increase the brightness of the FMS display. It improves the visibility of the FMS without having to use the pop-out, or zoom the view point. Regards, Jax edit, Increase the brightness by pre…

Check the user area here at the majestic webpage. You'll find it in there. Cheers, and happy flying.

Thanks, chaycebaylee4, this will add nicely to my Canadian Q400 fleet. Cheers, Craig

Have you tried adjusting the glareshield lighting knob on the overhead panel?
-
The issue may be with the navdata for GCXO, and not the Q400 FMS per se. Have you noticed this issue at other airports/runways? Majestic may have to consult with Navigraph to get this sorted. Just my .02c. Cheers, Jax.

Hi micstatic, At the top of the .JCC file it states which scan rate is being used. In your case it's 125hz. From JCC ; Created by MJC84 Joystick Config ( _ scanRate=1 ; 125Hz scan rate_ ) Cheers, Jax
