Have you purchased the upgrade for the x64 Q400? If not you will have to purchase it from the vendor your purchased the x32 version. All installers are acquired from the condor from which you purchased the Q400 addon.

OK, I see what you are referencing now. No this feature is part of the model and there is no way to disable it. I thought you were referencing the shadows/reflection due to variations of light on the flight decks.

Are you CPAN setting the same under the GRAPHICS section? Also in you P3D.cfg you want to ensure that COCKPIT_HIGH_LOD=1 under your graphics section is NOT set to 0

This is not a 400 is but a a known issue at the moment for P3D v5. There are a few discussions on other forums regarding this but if I recall all options under Reflections... The section under bathemetry must be deselected.
